The chancellor, vice-chancellor, executive deans, members of the university council, executives, graduates, family, and friends, it is an honour to be part of this celebration, the 5th graduation ceremony at XXX University. It is a happy day to all of us who are here to celebrate this great day. I want to pass my gratitude to the administration and faculties of the university for their dedication and hard work in making this day possible. Indeed, time flies, and finally, the long-awaited graduation has arrived. A few years ago, I was standing here as a student, but today I am standing as a graduate. Once again, I feel honoured and privileged due to this fantastic opportunity to stand and speak in front of you as a representative of graduates. I am XXXX from the faculty of XXXX. This is an excellent day for all of us in this auditorium. The achievement is not only because of individual efforts and hard work but also due to the assistance and support of all concerned parties, lecturers, and parents who often provide their motivation and support. For the years we have had in this institution, we have had lots of lessons and knowledge, and both have been helpful to us. I hope that we will utilize what we have gained as a means to provide opportunities to others, not out of a sense of paternalistic philanthropy but out of a sense of duty to give to other people. My friends, we all come from diverse backgrounds; however, from these differences, we can learn to comprehend and appreciate each other. All our experiences on this Campus should always remind us to be better people. I believe the stories created beyond the boundaries of the University have been equally helpful to us graduates. Everyone here has had their share of excitement and experiences they will carry with their life.
This day marks the beginning of a new struggle, and as youths, we have roles to play in society, such as being agents of change. The knowledge and skills we gain during our learning process should be utilized effectively, for instance, by making significant contributions to social life, particularly in this era of globalization where competition is getting tighter. We are all aware of the stiff competition outside there in the job market, and therefore, we must strive to conquer the competition by being competent to prove that we can work well according to our respective fields of study. We all know that life is a journey; all the endeavours we achieved at this University should be considered an initial point for further triumphs. Therefore, this graduation should serve as an initiation point that can project us to where our futures are destined to be. We should continue to advance our careers because life is all about developing. I anticipate that all of us can consider this achievement a perfect instance of how all is possible when we put our minds to it. Therefore, this is the phase to take further footsteps in the journey towards building our futures.
